The new approach to window management looks excellent. The (predicted) ability to be able to record podcast interviews on it looks like it could really free me up to record from remote locations.

Look, that windows can exist without getting kicked out and there are no more limits to the number of apps that are open is all great. Those were all dings against the iPad. However, to me, the problem wasn't just that. It was the fact that iPad OS is optimized for a touch interface - the elements are all just a little bigger and as a result, I could never get settled with the 11" iPad Pro. It was too big to hold on its own and too heavy and with a keyboard combination was more less comfortable than a 13" MacBook Air.
The screen was simply gorgeous and I miss Pro Motion. However, I will place a bet (that I should remember to revisit). In 6 - 12 months we are going to see a glut of iPad has replaced my laptop followed by - I've moved back to my laptop moments.
